 During Deepavali 2016 people pray to Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth, light, prosperity and wisdom, but also to Ganesha, the 'Remover of Obstacles' and the 'Lord of Beginnings' On the day of Deepavali people exchange gifts, bursting firecrackers, lighting fireworks, colourful sparklers & bonfires and having festive meals.

Diwali Melas (fairs) are held throughout India and the celebrations abroad. The Indian Festival of Lights takes place after the monsoon season has finished and the weather is nice and pleasant again.

Diwali festival knows as lighting festival because on that day people decorate their home with fascinating light with different shades of light and colour also decorate their home with good stuffing like : Artificial Flowers,Page Lamp, Stickers of Lakshmi and Ganesh etc

Here are couple of things which is done by everyone in Diwali:
1. Burn Firecracker which is contain with heavy noise sound
2. Eat delicious food with there love ones
3. Exchanges the gifts
4. Take blessings from there elder
5. Go to different- different places to celebrate Diwali
6. Do Lakshmi and Ganesh worship so that all kinds of hurdles and problems can be prevent in their life

Diwali is all about the spreading happiness everywhere but on this day we should also do some different thinks like :

1.Give sweets and clothes to someone who cannot afford .
2. We should also do some charity in poor people
